"It stands on a rock in the shape of a peninsula and looks out over the Arza & Arribiribil or Fraile-lecu where a mendicant Franciscan friar used to sit to receive the alms that the skippers threw at him from their boats [...]" it is in the Gothic style and was a church where oaths were sworn
